A rubber cap inside the oil pan shall prevent the main oil pipe from slipping outside. If the engine get really hot the rubber gets weak and moves up a little bit, allowing the O-ring to move up also. If the O-rings moves up all the way and slips off it causes a severe engine damage. Our bracket is bolted to the engine block and keeps the pipe and O-ring in place. The stainless steel bracket is delivered with a new oil pan seal. Above picture shows an engine, where the O-ring made it half the way up already - making this engine not far away from "death on ist feet". |
